Sensor and device prototype and concept creation and vetting. We, as engineers, like new things. Even with our age based experience, we have not lost the childish fascination with new technologies and applications. Nothing entertains us more than creating the simple to complex designs and software necessary to help a company test a new product and see if it is capable of becoming a product. We have helped on both the technical side as well as the business administration side. Personally writing as an engineer, I am mostly focused on the technical side. But, even I can not ignore the fact that if something does not make marketing and profitability sense, the product won't go far. Bluntly, we like being paid and we do out best to help a client be profitable for both their and our purposes.
